Two people, one studio, a lot to build.
Elvar Systems is a small software studio based in the United Kingdom. Two Cambridge graduates, a long list of ideas, and a steady cadence of turning them into software people can use.
How we got here
We met at Cambridge and stayed in touch for years before we started building together. Both of us spent time inside larger organisations and both of us left with the same impression — that there is a lot of useful software still to be made, by small teams that care.
So we started a studio. Just the two of us, working out of the UK. We keep the team that size on purpose. We move quickly because there are no hand-offs, and carefully because the work has to last.
How we work
Small over fast
One team. One direction. We ship in short cycles and keep our scope smaller than our ideas.
Calm by default
Notifications should be useful. Animations should be soft. The default behaviour should be the right answer for most people.
Restraint over reach
We ship the smallest sensible surface to do the job, resist features that earn attention rather than serve it, and do not sell user data.
What’s on the bench
There is a longer list than we will publish — but we will list things here as they take shape.
Now. Luvo — a mobile app that helps a group plan a trip together. Available free on the App Store and Google Play.
Next. A handful of other ideas in early sketches. We will share them when they are real enough to share.
That’s the studio. Small, deliberate, and quietly busy.
